Do you believe this?

The Boston Bruins and Vancouver Canucks will meet Wednesday at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver in a Game 7 showdown.

Roberto Luongo
was chased from the net after allowing three goals in less than 10 minutes of action total in Boston's 5-2 decisive Game 6 victory at TD Garden.

The B's are no strangers to G7s- other than the second-round sweep against Philadelphia, they've needed seven games in each of their other three series this spring. The big difference is- they don't have the home ice advantage for this one. However, if you're really honest with yourselves, who has more pressure on them? The road team who has played Vancouver tough in three one-goal losses, or the home team, who has been blown out in each of the games they played in Boston?

Luongo is the ultimate x-factor- he weathered the storm against Chicago in round 1, getting a Game 7 overtime win to avoid an epic collapse that the Bruins are all too familiar with. He's owned the B's in three home games, surrendering just two goals in Game 2, sandwiched between Game 1 and Game 5 whitewashes. But unless he rises to the occasion Wednesday, fans will only remember how he took it upon himself to call out his counterpart when a little more humility would have gone a long way.

And Tim Thomas? The 2011 Conn Smythe Trophy frontrunner has a chance to secure his legend in Boston. He's playing the best hockey of his career at age 37 and will try to avoid the fates of Jean-Sebastien Giguere in 2003 and Ron Hextall in 1987- MVP goalies in losing causes who pushed their SCF series to seven games only to lose on the road.

The B's have two Stanley Cup winners in their dressing room and better know what it takes to reach the mountain than the skilled but largely untested Canucks do. A year ago, the Bruins tasted ultimate agony at the hands of the Flyers.

Tomorrow, they have a chance to forever erase that stain in dramatic, glorious fashion by bringing the Stanley Cup to Boston.

This is what these players live for.
